Love Your Liver Detox Tea – Big Batch & Small Batch Recipe
Posted on Wednesday, February 19th, 2014
Here is my recipe for liver tea.
Many people have asked for this recipe and I thought to share with you. The word “detox’ is a loaded one. Detoxing in general is not a great idea in my opinion. Often, the detox process is harsh and extreme. No one’s body needs to go through that. With that said, the liver can always use a little love. We do that with ‘liver” herbs which are mostly bitter root herbs that gently help clear and clean the liver. This is especially useful if folks are on prescription medications. Prescriptions often tax the liver and or kidneys. Of note: If you have High Blood Pressure omit the licorice in the recipe. Also – drinking 1-2 quarts a months is sufficient.
I use this blend to gently cleanse the liver, especially after taking prescriptions or having surgery. Other great uses are drinking a 2 quarts during PMS week, especially useful for acne too.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
