About Blythe Adams
Blythe Adams grew up surrounded by the enchanting forests of New England. As an herbalist working out of Oakland CA, her passion is to empower her community in their own path to wellness.
Blythe’s journey to herbalism began with a personal health crisis: When western medicine failed to help, Blythe researched alternatives and began using chaste tree berries to heal her body. Since then Blythe has pursued herbal medicine as the most comprehensive way to take care of herself and her community.
Blythe completed a 3-year clinical internship at The Ohlone School of Herbal Studies in Berkeley California in 2006 and went on to teach herbalism at Ohlone for the next four years. She also apprenticed with Matthew Wood RHG and continues a multi-year apprenticeship with Candis Cantin RHG. Today Blythe provides holistic health support for individuals through her practice at Community Herbalist, volunteers at Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic for low-income women with cancer, and is a regular speaker at the Cancer Support Community in Walnut Creek.
Blythe Adams is also the woman behind Blythe’s Botanicals, a natural skincare company that emerged from custom remedies created by Blythe to reduce scarring and promote healing after radiation treatment or surgery. Blythe’s products nourish people with specific skin conditions like rosacea, radiation burns, eczema, scarring, and new tattoos with organic and wildcrafted ingredients such as wild violets, chickweed, rosehip seed oil and proprietary essential oil blends. Blythe believes in food as medicine, and that you should only use products on your skin that are safe enough to eat!
